Mee Goreng with Sambal Sauce

Mee Goreng is a popular Indonesian dish made with noodles, vegetables, and a protein of choice. It's known for its unique combination of sweet, spicy, and savoury flavours. Plus, with the addition of our AWE Sambal sauce, you can save time on preparing a multitude of spices and still achieve the authentic taste of Indonesian cuisine.


  • Refined Oil - 5-10 ml
  • Beaten Egg- 1
  • Medium-sized fresh Prawns (shelled and deveined)- 4 to 5
  • Squid Rings - 8 to 10 pcs
  • Fish Cubes - 50g boneless
  • Baby Potatoes - 4 to 5 boiled & cut into halves
  • Boiled Green Peas - 20g
  • Tomato -1
  • Chinese cabbage - 30g diced
  • Bok choy - 2 leaves cubed
  • Awefoods Sambal Sauce - 50g to 70g
  • Cooked Noodles - 100g to 120g
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar - 3g (optional)
  • Spring Onion - 10g (garnish)


1. Heat the oil in a pan at a medium flame and add the beaten egg, scramble them.

2. Add the seafood and sauté’ for 2-3 minutes.

3. Once the seafood is cooked, add the vegetables and stir fry for a minute.

4. Add the 𝐀𝐖𝐄 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 to the pan and sauté for a minute.

5. Add the cooked noodles and stir fry.

6. Season to taste with some salt and sugar.

7. Once finished cooking, garnish with some spring onions and serve hot. A
